Some Art Images...

It recently occurred to me that my blog name is 'A Painter's Journey' and yet I have never posted images of my paintings. I just finished organizing the photos that I have saved on my computer, so in celebration I thought I would post a few pictures of some of the paintings I have done.

Here is a series I did of some inspiring people:

This is a painting from my buddha and medititation phase:

This painting is just to prove that I can paint with a colour other than brown. It was done in my completely abstract phase:

This one is probably my favourite painting. I have it hanging in my living room:

Summer Bliss....

The weather has been beautiful and I am savouring every day. I am reminded about how much I love the Okanagan summers. I have just started taking a class called "The 5 G.I.F.T.S for an Abundant Life" so I have been noticing the abundance that is around me already. The garden is overlowing with tomatoes, peppers, cucumber and squash. Yesterday I harvested the leeks and made a huge batch of leek and potato soup to freeze for the winter.

I am feeling very fortunate in so many ways right now. I am thankful for living here, for taking the time off in the summer to fully enjoy it. Over the past couple of weeks we have alternated between lovely quiet days at home playing in the garden or reading in the shade, and fun days of meeting up with good friends at the beach or camping. I am devouring all sorts of books about organic gardening and permaculture as I dream of having an organic farm.

.... and to top it all off... I think I have finally got the hang of this bread making thing. This is my second successful loaf. It looks like bread, smells like bread, and tastes like delicious bread. Eureka!
